Following an accidental lorry impact at a commercial garage in Birmingham city centre, our team was called in to carry out urgent asbestos cladding removal and replacement.

Upon inspection, we identified that the damaged cladding included Big 6 asbestos cement panels, which required safe removal and licensed disposal.
Using proper PPE, containment methods, and compliant waste handling procedures, we dismantled and cleared the asbestos sheets, adhering to strict health and safety regulations throughout.
Installation of New Big 6 Fibre Cement Sheets
To restore the external structure, we installed high-performance Big 6 fibre cement sheets — a modern, non-asbestos alternative that provides excellent durability, weather resistance, and a clean finish.
These were securely fixed in place using a scissor lift for safe access at height.
Thermal Insulation and Flashing Replacement
As part of the works, we added new thermal insulation panels behind the cladding to improve building efficiency.
We also fabricated and installed new corner flashing to seal off the structure, preventing water ingress and protecting the junction between walls.
